The LOVE Foundation VA is a Virginia-based nonprofit organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) public charity. We advance community development through leadership, entrepreneurship, volunteerism, and meaningful partnerships.

LOVE stands for Leaders, Organizers, Volunteers, and Entrepreneurs. We bring people and organizations together to connect our community with opportunities, resources, and support.

We believe lasting community transformation happens when residents, businesses, nonprofits, and local governments work toward a shared vision. Through collaborative programs and community projects, we create opportunities for people to connect, learn, grow, and succeed.

​Our Work at Market 5

 

Market 5 has been an important setting for the Foundation’s community work in Charles City County. We have coordinated community events, connected local businesses with partners, and developed opportunities for residents and visitors to participate in educational, wellness, and recreational programming.

​

This work reflects our broader commitment to welcoming community spaces where people can gather, share ideas, access resources, and support local entrepreneurship.

​

Our vision for Market 5 is a vibrant destination where small businesses, community events, outdoor recreation, and public engagement come together to strengthen Charles City.

​

Community Collaboration & Public Records

​

The Foundation’s Market 5 proposal and related EDA planning are documented in Charles City County Economic Development Authority public records.

​

The June 4, 2026 meeting minutes included in the EDA’s August 6, 2026 Board Packet record a unanimous vote to move the Foundation’s proposal forward and authorize preparation of the necessary lease agreement.

​

The same packet includes FY2027 goals identifying continued partnership with the LOVE Foundation for community events and year-round programming at Market 5.
